In recent weeks, the WWE Rated R Superstar, Edge, has wanted to start pursuing very particular goals, being joined already in his Wrestlemania 38 match by Damian Priest, the former US champion of the main roster and former North American champion of NXT, with the fighter known for having the archer gimmick at NXT, who immediately followed the advice but above all the orders of Edge, as his best squire.
Apparently, this idea was in the air for some time, with Edge having to build his own stable, to launch some young talents and slowly the WWE is building this reality, making it clear how the only Priest will not be the one.
the only one who will join Edge in the future, but tonight on Monday Night Raw, the two had a significant setback, with two former world champions who left the heel team of the red show stunned. Finn Balor and AJ Styles have an interesting history together.
Never have two superstars been so closely connected to each other yet so far. The biggest example of this was their stint as the Bullet Club leader in Japan.
Finn Balor and AJ Styles have an interesting history together
During the night, WWE staged the latest installment of its flagship show, Monday Night Raw, with Damian Priest and AJ Styles clashing in a 1v1 match, to make sure that if he won the Phenomenal One, Priest would be banned from ringside, in the Wrestlemania Backlash match between Styles and Edge.
To win the contest was AJ Styles of measure, with Edge who has seen fit to attack in the post-match just his opponent of the next ppv. Finn Balor took care of everything making it more magical, coming out from backstage without anyone being able to foresee it, going to save Styles from the clutches of the two WWE heels, sensationally reforming part of that Bullet Club that their own two had founded years ago and which had raged on the rings of Japan and American independent companies, before they both left the stable, to devote themselves to their future in the WWE rings.
On the one occasion that AJ Styles and Finn Balor crossed paths in the ring (not including their brief interaction at SummerSlam 2016), it was due to a flu outbreak backstage in WWE that also affected other superstars. It was at TLC 2017 and it turned out to be an instant classic where the two men paid their respects to each other before going their own way.
