Booker T defends Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut in 2018, proving right away that she is comfortable in the ring. The Riverside champion made her debut on April 8 at WrestleMania 34, defeating Stephanie McMahon and Triple H paired with legendary Kurt Angle.

On August 19, at SummerSlam, she won the Raw Women's Championship, keeping it for 232 days. After nearly three years of inactivity, she returned on January 29, 2022, to win the women's Royal Rumble match. 'The Baddest Woman On The Planet' was badly beaten by Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 38, still performing well.

Ronda will seek revenge in WWE's next pay-per-view, WrestleMania Backlash, which takes place May 8 in Providence. Recently, Rousey admitted that he often asks her opponents for help in matches. In the latest edition of the 'Hall of Fame' podcast, Booker T expressed his sincere opinion on the subject.

Booker T reflects on Ronda Rousey

"Forgetting a few commercials during a match is absolutely normal, wrestling works like this. A heated controversy arose on social media due to the statements of Ronda Rousey, who admitted that she often asked her opponents for help to remember the commercials.

She relies on the girl she is working with to overcome difficulties. Contrary to what some think, there is nothing to be ashamed of" - ruled Booker T. "Even I often forgot the commercials when I was a WWE superstar.

These things have always happened in the wrestling world, it's nobody's fault. Ronda works every single day to be the best superstar possible and she deserves respect," the two-time WWE Hall of Famer added. Booker T also talked about Riddle: “Maybe I haven't given him due credit for what he's been doing over the past few months.

I had doubts when WWE introduced RK-Bro and didn't think Riddle would get better that much in a short time. He may not like his style, but we must compliment him for having held out even in the most difficult moments."

Speaking on his podcast, Hall of Fame, Booker T noted that there is no shame in Ronda or anyone forgetting what the next spot should be during a match. "She’s taken the wrestling world by storm. Ronda Rousey had put out a statement saying a lot of the stuff she goes out to perform, she can’t remember it.

She’s relying on the person that she’s working with to get her through that. Personally, I just want to say this right now, ain’t no shame at all in that forgetting stuff."
