John Morrison is certainly known for his past career in WWE where he had the pleasure and honor of winning a long series of titles, including the world title (when it was still considered as such) through the ECW brand. Immediately after his first release, John continued his career first in independents, also including the Lucha Underground project, before landing in Impact Wrestling where he wrestled twice in the main event of the most important PPV of the year, Bound For Glory, and was once an Impact World Champion.
In 2019 he ended his relationship with the Canadian federation and in 2020, during the pandemic, he made his return to WWE by signing a contract with the main roster where he returned as an ally of The Miz. The very famous duo immediately won the couple titles of SmackDown and despite having lost them sometime later, they continued to coexist as a team for other months, until 2021, to the renewed betrayal of Miz and, in succession, to the one that was Morrison's new departure from the company during the Stamford federation release wave.
New details on John Morrison
John Morrison was recently interviewed by Chris Van Vliet and during the interview, spoke about why he chose to leave WWE in 2011: "When I first left WWE, I thought I was going to be back in a year or two.
I left because I wanted to make a movie. Not just be in a movie, but I’m a film major. I went to UC Davis. That’s what I studied in school so I wanted to do the whole process. I wanted to write it, produce it, star in it and when I left I thought that was going to take a year or two.
Nope." Despite this, John has chosen not to end his career, but rather to push again with other realities as he did during the last WrestleMania week. He will continue to do so on May 28 at the Silver Nugget Casino in Las Vegas, the day and venue in which John will make his debut within the Game Changer wrestling and to be exact with the ring name of Johnny Game Changer.
For the uninitiated, Morrison is famous for the ring name changes he had in the past, or a change based on the various companies in which he played. In the days of the Lucha Underground he was famous as Johnny Mundo, while in the past years at Impact Wrestling, he was known as Johnny Impact.
It will certainly be an attractive debut for all fans of the GCW, one of the h*ttest federations of recent times in the North American independent panorama.
