*Spoiler* Raquel Rodriguez's push has begun

In the latest episodes of Friday Night Smackdown, we saw on the WWE main brand TV screens, several well-known faces of NXT, with Raquel Rodriguez, Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser making their debut in the shows that matter, being merged into the roster of Smackdown after put on NXT.

If Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser have already taken action, immediately showing the dominance of the Imperium leader even to fans of the WWE main roster, the situation for NXT's former tag team champion seems to be different.

In the first episodes of Smackdown in which she appeared, Rodriguez did not have plans who knows how concrete, nor an opponent in the ring, with several fans and professionals beginning to wonder if WWE really wanted to move her to give her a push or if at the moment there are simply no plans for her either at NXT or on the main roster.

The whole thing was obviously part of a bigger plan, which saw the former WWE color show champion being discovered little by little, with what we saw tonight, which shows how much the company is really focusing on its athlete.

Ronda Rousey launches Raquel Rodriguez's career

During the episode of Smackdown aired tonight, the WWE has seen fit to pit the new champion of the blue show, Ronda Rousey and the newcomer to the rings of the blue show, Raquel Rodriguez, with the champion who after having made a promo on the victory against Charlotte in ppv, had launched her open challenge, to which the former NXT wanted to respond.

In the end, it was the Baddest Woman on the Planet who won the contest, with the ending that however saw Ronda use a roll-up against her opponent and not her usual Armbar. After seeing a very exciting match and after seeing Rodriguez reach the count of three different times, it was clear how WWE wants to push its new athlete of the blue show very seriously, with her and the champion who also shook hands after the match.

It had been a long time coming for the two-time NXT Women's Tag Team Champion, who first signed with WWE in 2016. She has now clearly impressed officials on the main roster enough to provide her with an opportunity to perform on Friday nights.

Fans will have immediately noticed that Raquel Rodriguez is exceedingly tall, especially when compared to interviewer Kayla Braxton. She is in fact six feet in height - sharing stature with the likes of WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, top AEW star Kenny Omega and former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler.
