Theory keen on having a match with John Cena in WWE at Summerslam

In recent months we have seen a very particular rise in the rings of Monday Night Raw, with the young Theory, a former NXT athlete who under the wing of Vince McMahon himself, has grown exponentially, to become champion of the United States of the Stamford-based company.

At just 24, Theory has become one of the flagship faces of the McMahon federation (as well as being the youngest United States Champion in WWE history) and is now desperately looking for his new challenge, with a big name that's all horizon: John Cena.

John Cena is unanimously recognized as one of the best performers of all time. In addition to being a 16-time world champion, the Boston champion has won the United States Championship five times, the World Tag Team Championship twice, and the WWE Tag Team Championship twice.

He also won two editions of the Royal Rumble match, three editions of the Elimination Chamber match and the 2012 edition of Money in the Bank. In recent years, the leader of the 'Cenation' has walked away from the ring to become a Hollywood star.

His last appearance in WWE dates back to SummerSlam 2021, the biggest event of the summer, in which he was defeated by Roman Reigns at the end of a no holds barred battle.

Theory insists on his match against John Cena

In his latest interview with the New York Post, Theory wanted to talk on the topic of whether he would really like to face John Cena at Summerslam: "It just takes words out of my mouth, because I think when that moment happens and I’m in the ring with John Cena, man, I don’t know what to say.

I don’t know what I’m gonna say. I don’t know. I have no idea just because like you’re saying and the way you spoke about it, I clearly know what it was like for me growing up watching John, just the story there and how much we’d actually have for a story. Man, that’s just so crazy to me. I see it happening for sure."
