All wrestling fans know that Stephanie McMahon has decided to take a momentary break from WWE to spend more time with her family. “From tomorrow, I will leave most of my responsibilities with WWE. WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I plan to return to the company I love after focusing on my family" - Vince's daughter wrote about her on her Twitter profile.
This is a very delicate phase for the McMahon family: Linda - Vince's wife - hasn't been involved at all in recent years and Shane left the federation in early 2022. According to some rumors circulating on the web, Stephanie was forced to leave WWE.
Speaking to Sportskeeda, wrestling expert Bill Apter categorically denied this version of events.
Bill Apter on Stephanie McMahon
“It is absolutely not true that Stephanie McMahon was forced to leave WWE. I can assure you that this is enormous nonsense” - Bill Apter began with great bluntness.
"I tell you for sure that it was she who wanted to move away from the Stamford-based federation" - he added. Apter then analyzed the company situation: “If Vince McMahon resigns today or something tragic happens to him, who would take over the company? Who would sit at the head of the table? It is not easy to answer at this moment."
During the same interview, Bill wanted to praise Randy Orton: “I didn't think his career would go on for that long, I have to be honest. The Viper has proven to be an absolute legend of this business, thanks also to an extraordinary dedication.
His alliance with Riddle, which many were skeptical of, gave new impetus to his WWE adventure. Very few athletes have been able to do what Randy did. I am observing his evolution with great curiosity. He is still at the top at 41, after being the youngest world champion in WWE history”.
Zarian shared that there were questions about her abilities as a top executive. He mentioned that the Chief Brand Officer had taken over ad sales and sponsorships and the numbers weren't looking good: "The comment was that internally, there was doubt put on Steph and her abilities as an executive.
A lot of this started after she absorbed some of Michelle Wilson’s responsibilities after she left. One is ad sales and sponsorship. And the comment that I found interesting was that they mentioned that the investors were questioning why they weren’t performing as well."
