Whom does Vince McMahon really trust?

Vince McMahon is once again in the eye of the storm. The WWE board is investigating a $3 million sum paid to a former employee with whom Vince allegedly had an extramarital affair. “According to sources in the Wall Street Journal, the deal dates back to January 2022 and prevents this person from talking about his relationship with McMahon or denigrating him in any way.

The WWE Board specified that the relationship between Vince and the employee, hired in 2019, was consensual. The investigation led to the discovery of several non-disclosure agreements signed with other former WWE employees, aimed at covering not only Vince's misconduct but also that of Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis" - reads Wrestling Inc.

McMahon appeared in the latest episode of SmackDown, merely greeting the WWE Universe and repeating the company's famous slogan. In the latest edition of his podcast, Jim Cornette said Kevin Dunn is Vince's true man of trust within the company.

The latter has been with WWE for decades and has climbed the ranks to become one of McMahon's most trusted employees.

New details on Vince McMahon

"Kevin Dunn is the guy that Vince McMahon would talk to more than almost anybody else in the company and more than almost anybody else in his family.

And I would believe that if he was to confide in anybody in the company, it wouldn't be in Nick Khan, (whom) he's probably known for 2 or 3 years, they're business associates. He (McMahon) would confide in Kevin Dunn, I would think before Laurinaitis even, Laurinaitis is already involved in this," Cornetts said.

According to reports from the 'Fightful' website, there will be multiple repercussions: "A former office employee told us that a domino effect will be unleashed and that Vince will have to fight to stay in the saddle, while his friend John Laurinaitis could be forced to resign.

They are all cooperating to keep the investigation going." Bruce Prichard was also not present backstage owing to his shoulder surgery this week. The Executive producer is expected to be out of action for a while and Ed Koskey will be filling up for him in the interim.

Another figure missing from the tapings was General Manager of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis. Reports suggested that Mr. McMahon and Kevin Dunn were present backstage and it was business as usual, the only exception being that the atmosphere was much less stressful.

She was previously the Chief Brand Officer for the company and had recently sought some time off from her role to spend more time with her family.
