Alberto Del Rio praises Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley is experiencing something of a second youth in WWE. Despite being 45, 'The All Mighty' is still one of the fittest superstars on the roster and manages to perform at the highest levels with a frequency that leaves everyone speechless.

In his career, the Junction City athlete has won the WWE Championship twice, the ECW World Championship twice, the Intercontinental title twice, the United States Championship twice, the TNA World Heavyweight Championship four times and once the TNA King of the Mountain Championship.

Between 2008 and 2016 he also tried his hand at mixed martial arts, winning the heavyweight title of Shark Fights in 2011. In the course of an interview with Sportskeeda, former WWE star Alberto Del Rio spent nice words for Lashley.

The two formed a memorable feud at IMPACT Wrestling in 2017. Alberto was fired from the company the following year, while Bobby decided to return to WWE.

Alberto Del Rio opens up on Bobby Lashley

"Bobby Lashley is a truly exceptional performer, capable of making a lot of money to any company that puts him on contract," explained Alberto Del Rio.

“I have always felt comfortable with him also from a human point of view. We have had the opportunity to work with IMPACT Wrestling many times and I must admit that storyline was one of the most thrilling of my career.

Bobby has all the credentials to become one of the biggest stars in the history of this business” - he added. Alberto expressed the desire to go back to being a superstar: “Life has presented me with many challenges and over time I have managed to overcome them.

I defeated the depression, I debunked the very serious accusations against me and I proved that some people were wrong about me. I just wish that a great wrestling federation would give me the chance to restart because I have learned from my mistakes and I am ready to get back into the game."

Speaking on Legion of RAW this week, Russo mentioned that WWE might consider putting Theory over Lashley because of Vince McMahon's liking for the rookie. "You know the fans are with Lashley, the fans are behind Lashley.

But then I'm starting to think, Vince is very, very, very high on Theory. So is Theory going to go over on Lashley? Here's why you can't do it. Because nobody in the world would believe it. You put those two together, Lashley would eat him for lunch. That's the problem."
