Stokely Hathaway is a well-known wrestling manager who often has interesting statements, and knows how to draw public attention to himself. After three years spent in the WWE, he decided to go to the AEW this year and it seems like a good decision.
Hathaway mentioned Tony Khan in an interesting way, and it’s clear he feels great in the new environment. “I can’t even put it into words,” Stokely said about his new job (AEW). “I’ve had a blast, and I feel really bad for Tony Khan sometimes because I feel like I am taking money,” Hathaway said.
“It has been the most fun I’ve had in a long time”. Hathaway has been on the wrestling scene for many years, and there are many names he has met during his long career. He had a great relationship with someone, not so good with someone, but what is important is that he met well-known people like Orange Cassidy & Chuck Taylor, and meeting them caused him happiness.
“Just being able to see people that I haven’t seen in years,” Hathaway said, as quoted by Wrestling Inc.
Stokely Hathaway meeting his old friends
It was those faces he met that reminded him of the old days and times in which he built his career on the wrestling scene.
As Hathaway himself says, he grew up with some of them and AEW seems to have turned out to be the best option for him. He is clearly happier than ever, focused on work, and it must be admitted that he is doing a great job. “To be able to walk into a locker room and see your friends, people that you grew up with, what can I say? I’m extremely blessed,” he concluded. We’ll see in which direction his career develops further, but Stokely Hathaway certainly knows what he wants.
