Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey have nurtured their friendship for several years now, with the two having met in the UFC thanks to a shared passion for mixed martial arts and later found themselves in WWE. Although now they are starting to have some problems as we could see during a backstage video where the two argued because of Natalya, respect still remains alive in them and if they can, they always speak well of each other.

Shayna Baszler talks about Ronda Rousey

Speaking with Ryan Satin on the Out of Character podcast, Shayna Baszler explained that Ronda Rousey is the kind of person who would go out of his way to help her and explained why the criticism leveled at one of her best friends annoys her.

“The thing is, I know Ronda enough to know that she doesn't spend her time on social media. Every time she comments on her it is because someone said to her: ’Hey, Ronda, you should comment on this thing’, which does not happen often because she still replies: 'Why? Who cares?' I get frustrated when she's a little more selfish than that, I feel frustrated if I ever have to talk.

If someone says something like, 'Tell me the three best fighters of all time.' If I put Ronda on that list, immediately, they would say, 'No, she was brought there.' Even now, this assumption irritates me when I think about it.

Just because she lost and you didn't like her personality, you're letting it cloud the fact that she changed the world of fighting for women. There would be no women in the UFC, at least for a while, if it weren't for her. Denying that she did great things, discrediting her just because she had a defeat and you didn't like her personality, makes me think back to when she went on a podcast and said, 'I lost,' which was super humble, and not Ronda, not herself, people would go so far as to say she is the greatest ever, but because she lost and took him to heart and hated him, people hate her, so they have to discredit everything about her.

For me it is annoying. I can say that I might not like it if Amanda Nunes beat up Ronda and spoke badly of her after her, but I can say that Amanda Nunes is one of the best female fighters of all time. I can do it. It bothers me that normal fans can't do it." The former NXT UK star turned heel towards the second half of 2021 and battled Bianca Belair.

Doudrop then had a big match against Becky Lynch at Royal Rumble. She has remained a heel while currently aligning with Nikki A.S.H.
