Cameron Grimes discusses John Cena's return

Last week, WWE celebrated the 20th anniversary of John Cena's debut in the company. The 16-time world champion stepped into the ring and thanked the WWE Universe for making the past two decades so special. The Boston champion has helped spread wrestling to every corner of the planet, establishing himself as one of the most iconic superstars of all time.

The leader of the 'Cenation' has progressively moved away from the ring in recent years, thanks to advancing age and the desire to make it into the cinema. Following the advice of the legendary The Rock, Cena has quickly become one of the most requested and appreciated actors in Hollywood.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda, NXT star Cameron Grimes expressed her enthusiasm for John's return.

Cameron Grimes on John Cena

"I was really pleased to see John Cena in WWE, it's great that he's back," Cameron Grimes began.

“John Cena is a freak of nature. We are talking about one of the greatest ever, there is no doubt about it. Cena had the ability to transcend wrestling and still today he is a source of inspiration for many young people.

Every time he appears on our show, I put my schedule aside and tune in”- added Cameron. According to insiders, the former WWE Champion will start a heated feud with Theory that will culminate in SummerSlam. In the latest edition of 'WWE The Bump', WWE Hall of Famer JBL had beautiful words for Cena: “When he came to WWE, nobody liked John.

There was no specific reason to justify that hatred. He was a young boy, who looked good and people were a little jealous. Cena adapted to that context with impressive speed, always maintaining a respectful attitude towards other wrestlers.

Within a few months, everyone started appreciating his style and hoping that he would be successful in this business. The rest is history”. Triple H recently sent out a video on Twitter congratulating his former rival on his 20-year anniversary in WWE.

"Like to take a second to congratulate John Cena on 20 unbelievable years in the WWE [sic]. You know it's been an honor, to watch John, and his growth, through that period of time. Through determination, grit, hard work, and just constantly being the hardest worker.

Made himself the success he was for those 20 years. Arguably, the greatest superstar in the history of the WWE. But not only that. Through those 20 years, becoming the greatest ambassador, and truly representing what it means to be a WWE Superstar."
