Johnny Gargano has achieved great goals and victories at NXT but according to Johnny Wrestling, there are also other goals to be achieved. During the "Good Karma Wrestling" podcast, former NXT champion Johnny Gargano revealed what his next goals are and what he aims to do again in WWE.

"I've never had a chance to fight at Wrestlemania. This has always been the case. one of my many wishes and it's still on my wish list. It's a normal response for a lot of kids my age and my era.

But a title, especially one like the intercontinental title with that white belt has always been something that has been to me. stuck in my mind. It's something I'd like to have someday." Johnny Gargano has already fought in WWE and has already competed in the Royal Rumble as well but has never attended Stamford's biggest company ppv event: Wrestlemania.

He has also won titles but not the intercontinental one, Gargano in fact won the equivalent of the NXT intercontinental title, the North American Championship at Takeover: Phoenix by defeating Ricochet in 2019. At NXT, Gargano won the NXT Tag Team Championship paired with Tommaso Ciampa at Takeover: Toronto 2019 defeating the Revival, today FTR in AEW and also the NXT Championship in Takeover: New York the night before Wrestlemania 35 against Adam Cole.

In addition to becoming the first champion of NXT's three crowns, Gargano also took part in several major NXT Takeover events against the likes of Adam Cole, Ciampa, Andrade El Idolo and even the Authors of Pain during his time with the show.

Team 2.0 went away with a victory in their pocket to then kick off the new era of NXT 2.0. Since his last match at WarGames, Gargano stated that he would take some time away from wrestling as he and his wife Candice LeRae would enter a new phase in their lives: parenting.

Their eldest son Quill was born in February 2022. Johnny Wrestling's WWE contract expired in December, and he chose to take time off from wrestling to be with his wife Candice LeRae as they prepared for the birth of their first child.
