Eric Bischoff reacted to Vince McMahon's retirement

Vince McMahon surprised the entire wrestling scene when he decided to retire. The man who created an empire and the strongest organization could not bear the pressure of the public after allegations of se*ual misconduct. Eric Bischoff commented on Vince McMahon's departure in an interview with episode "83 Weeks": “It was shocking,” Bischoff said, as quoted by Wrestling Inc.

“I’m still processing it. It’s still hard for me to believe. I woke up this morning, and I saw an image on my social media, and it was a picture of WWE Headquarters in Stamford [CT]. I thought, can you imagine what it’s like walking into that building knowing you won’t see Vince McMahon there ever again? At least not professionally as a leader?” Bischoff thinks it will be strange to be part of the organization without him.

His presence was always a great motivation for everyone, and Vince knew how to do this job. “It would be weird to walk down those halls and not anticipate his presence. It would be really weird. I try to place myself in the shoes of like Bruce [Prichard], our buddy, and a lot of other people that I know that I’m very familiar with and close to.

Gonna be a weird day for them come Monday morning, man. Really weird”.

Tony Khan also reacted to Vince McMahon's announcement

Tony Khan, the main man of AEW, commented on Vince McMahon's retirement in an interesting way:“ I was referencing that AEW Rampage was on and just the fact that of the big major companies, who I would consider ‘The big three,’ now I am the longest tenured [CEO] of course,” Khan said.

“I think if you consider pro wrestling, it’s a fair statement. I just thought it’s a factual statement, a note to promote Rampage but that’s all it was. I can’t say anything else about it.
