This week's episode of Monday Night Raw took place at Madison Square Garden, a very important place for many events and which especially for WWE has meant a lot over the years. With a very rich card and a change of course due to recent changes in the management of the Stamford-based company, it has been reported that several SmackDown Superstars were backstage at the red show, which is not surprising given that when it comes to Madison Square Garden, WWE throws in performers of a certain value even if they are not on the roster of that specific brand.
One of them is former SmackDown champion Ronda Rousey, who is getting closer and closer to the title when she wrestles Liv Morgan, the wrestler who snatched her belt at Money In The Bank at Summerslam. Random and without being brought in front of the cameras, WWE decided to let Ronda Rousey enter Madison Square Garden to have a confrontation with Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H., which was then shared on the company's social networks.
As we could see in a video the pair of heels made a promo challenging anyone backstage to get into the ring to chase them and Rowdy came out and imprisoned the former Piper Niven in an Ankle Lock. The segment took place after a match where Alexa Bliss defeated Doudrop in singles.
WWE then sent the ad, so the release of Baddest Woman on the Planet took place in that time frame. Fans were very confused by this, but of course, there was no shortage of speculation of a possible move of Ronda from SmackDown to Raw, which could make us smell her defeat at Summerslam against Liv Morgan.
This step, however, is very likely to happen if WWE wants her and Becky Lynch to challenge, as speculated, in Wrestlemania 39.
Ronda Rousey's return
Current SmackDown Women's champion Liv Morgan recently compared her and Ronda Rousey's physical and mental attributes.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated ahead of their upcoming rematch, Liv said that she is well aware of her opponent's size advantage. "When you compare me and Ronda on paper, she’s bigger and stronger,” Morgan said.
“I will never look anyone in the face and say I’m better. But I will look Ronda Rousey in the face and stare into her soul at SummerSlam, and I’m going to show that I want this and love this more than her."
