SummerSlam, the most important pay-per-view of the summer, went on stage last week. There was no shortage of twists: from Edge's return to Bayley's, up to the incredible main event (in which Brock Lesnar literally demolished the ring with a tractor).
In the SmackDown title match, Ronda Rousey made a sensational turn heel after suffering an injustice. Liv Morgan had in fact surrendered to her devastating 'Armbar', but the referee was focused on the pin and did not see the hand of the champion that sanctioned her surrender.
Immediately after the contest, 'Rowdy' attacked both her opponent and the referee leaving everyone speechless. Interviewed by Megan Morant minutes after her controversial victory at the 'Biggest Party of the Summer', Liv was proud of her efforts to defend the belt from Ronda's assault.
Update on Liv Morgan
"I don't want to lie, I'm in a lot of pain right now," Liv Morgan began. I did exactly what I had to do and I kept the SmackDown title with full credit. I'm really proud”- added Liv.
Speaking to Sportskeeda, former WWE manager Dutch Mantell had beautiful words for Liv: “I think Liv Morgan is one of the most underrated superstars on the entire WWE roster. There is a tremendous talent inside that girl, at least from my point of view.
She speaks well into the microphone, she works hard and looks beautiful. She doesn't need anything else to make it into this business. Plus, she has an ability to interact with fans that doesn't get stressed enough. The fans are looking forward to seeing her performance in the ring.
Morgan looks like the typical girl next door: she could be your school friend, your neighbor or the daughter of a friend of your mother. That's why people are dying to see it”. There is no doubt that the 28-year-old from Morristown is having the best time of her career.
During a recent interview, WWE Superstar Liv Morgan revealed how she got her current ring name. "The real background is that when you arrive to Performance Center when it's time to create your character, you send in like a list of names, right.
And I must have sent in like three different list of names (...) All the names that I picked, they thought it was so bad," admitted Morgan. "I show up to TV one day at Full Sail for NXT taping (...) and they were like, 'Alright, you're either Liv Morgan or you're Liv Gallows. And I was like...I guess I picked Liv Morgan."
