During the night, the WWE wanted to air its summer Big Four PPV par excellence, SummerSlam. The PPV saw many surprises for the WWE Universe, from the return of Edge to that of Bayley, accompanied by Io Shirai and Dakota Kai, until the main event that literally left the fans with their mouths open.

During the evening, however, the match valid for the title of Smackdown champion also aired, with Ronda Rousey being dealt a tough hand in the final of the contest when she was pinned while applying her devastating Armbar on Liv Morgan.

While the referee counted the three of the pin, the Morgan was in fact going to yield, with the submission that came before the three and therefore the winner should have been the challenger and not the champion. The whole thing was then topped off by a real turn heel, with the former champion of the blue show who first hit her opponent and then also trapped the referee of the contest in her devastating Armbar, with the fans who remained.

gasped for what was airing in the ring.

What happened at SummerSlam?

During all this turmoil, many did not realize how short the fight between the Smackdown champion and her opponent, the Badest Woman on the Planet, lasted, with the titled match lasting only a few minutes.

Apparently, this unfortunate event was due to the length of the match between Logan Paul and The Miz, with the two having far exceeded their time range and therefore made WWE opt for a cut of the match later, or the female one.

As revealed by Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, in fact, WWE had to significantly cut the length of the title match of the blue show, also probably sending the two girls into a beast. With a tweet, the well-known journalist has in fact revealed in the last few hours.

WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Liv Morgan took a lot of punishment at the hands of Ronda Rousey during her title match at SummerSlam. "Not gonna lie, I'm in so much pain right now. I don't know that you walk into a match with Ronda Rousey and come out the same but I did exactly what I said I was gonna do and I left with my championship.

So I guess I'm okay," Morgan said. "I did it because this is exactly what I said that I was gonna do. I said that I love this more, that I want this more, that I need this more. So I went there and I did what needed to be done and I survived Ronda Rousey."
