Noam Dar pays tribute to Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels made WWE history and wrestling in general. In addition to being a four-time world champion, HBK has won the Royal Rumble match twice in a row and was the first to complete the Grand Slam. The Chandler champion officially retired in 2010, after losing to The Undertaker at WrestleMania 26.

The following year, he was inducted with full merit into the WWE Hall of Fame. After generating several fights in the early years of his career, Shawn calmed down and managed to be appreciated by colleagues and insiders. Pushed by his great friend Triple H, Michaels began working backstage with the young talents of NXT and helped many of them to explode.

The former heavyweight champion is currently one of the leaders of the NXT creative team, as well as serving as a producer. In a long interview with Sportskeeda, NXT UK star Noam Dar revealed that Shawn Michaels was instrumental in his growth.

Noam Dar on Shawn Michaels

“Shawn Michaels is an absolute genius” - Noam Dar began bluntly. "His advice is nuggets of wisdom that can change your career at any moment. I was lucky to know him and I will never stop thanking him for the help he gave me.

We've talked a myriad of times, especially when I first came to NXT UK. He helped me to add substance and depth to my character, making me understand that I had to take a step forward also on a personal level” - said Noam.

Recently, HBK talked about his work at NXT: “I didn't think that - after performing in the ring for so many years - I would be able to find motivation even working backstage. Helping young talent isn't as easy as it might seem.

When they step foot in WWE, they are insecure and scared. I support them on their journey, without ever betraying their trust”. Road Dogg recently recalled how Shawn Michaels’ interactions with Vince McMahon used to take him by surprise.

He also remembered a conversation he had with Scott Hall about The Heartbreak Kid’s star power. “I’ve heard those conversations as well, where I just went, ‘Holy mackerel, I can’t believe that just happened,’” James said.

“Look, he was the meal ticket, man. I’ll never forget when I first got there Razor [Scott Hall] would always go, ‘Hey, man, easy on the meal ticket,’ about Shawn, and that’s kinda true. When you’re that good, it’s okay to say you’re that good”.
