Smackdown: WWE makes an important announcement

It has now been well over two months since WWE announced that Sasha Banks and Naomi had been suspended indefinitely for leaving the company prior to an episode of Monday Night Raw. This means that it has been just as long since the company announced that a future tournament would be aired to crown the new champions of the tag team category.

Well, that tournament has not yet taken place, nor has there been any news about it in this period. Not only that, he hasn't even been mentioned by anyone in WWE for weeks, not even internally. 'PW Insider' and many other industry sites have questioned the matter and said that from WWE and those close to it "there had been no communication" about the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship or when and how it will be reassigned.

In the end, it took Triple H to lead the creative team to find out more, after the various returns we witnessed between tonight and SummerSlam, there is also news regarding the women's world titles tag main roster team, with reporter Michael Cole giving us some very important updates this very night.

WWE has big surprises in store

During one of his speeches that came this night at WWE Friday Night Smackdown, Michael Cole had the task of confirming how the long-awaited tournament will begin next Monday to decree the new tag team women's champions of the main roster.

After months of silence, in fact, the first matches of the tournament will take place on Monday Night Raw, in just two days. At the moment the names of the participants have not been confirmed, nor how many matches the tournament will be composed of.

So we just have to wait for the next episode of Raw to understand how this tournament will be managed, waiting for the former champions of the main roster to return, who apparently would have found an agreement with the Triple to return to fight with the WWE, just as happened with Dakota Kai and the two former NXTs who returned to the scene tonight, in the attack perpetrated against Drew McIntyre.

On tonight's episode of SmackDown, the final segment saw Drew McIntyre being attacked by a returning Kross. Former WWE Superstar Matt Cardona shared a tweet. "@realKILLERkross is a REAL piece of shit. This guy has a beautiful full head of hair and SHAVED IT FOR YEARS!" Cardona wrote. The WWE Universe reacted positively to this big return.
