Doudrop may change her name again

In a new interview with Inside The Ropes, Doudrop revealed that there have been conversations with WWE's new regime about a potential name change. As you know at NXT UK the wrestler was called Piper Niven, but when she debuted with Eva Marie she was given this name that many find ridiculous.

"I'm going to give 100% full transparency about it, we had a conversation about it. Because the fact is this: before it was Vince's vision and now it's Triple H's vision. So it's like, 'What's your vision and where do you see it's going, are you open to ideas?' For me, I don't mind under any circumstances. I would just like to take more intentional steps by moving forward with [my] character. I feel like, in the past for a short time, things have been strange. When I was first given [the name] Doudrop, I obviously initially had no idea what to do. It took me so long to get comfortable with who Doudrop was, that I understand everything, I'm bubbly and happy, and I'm essentially Jojo Siwa. After a minute, I got used to the character and got comfortable with it and then they made me heel. I was like, 'I don't know how to do it.' There is so much trial and error that went on as I was going, so it took a minute to figure out who Doudrop was. Now that Triple H has come on board, I just wanted to get more of an idea of who he should be and what the options would be regarding the different aspects of that character or maybe a new character or maybe even an old character. So, we'll see. As I said, it's an exciting time."

What's next for Doudrop?

Doudrop went on to reveal, "Yes. He was receptive to all ideas [Triple H]. I'm very aware that there are probably like a lot of other people who are looking for a change and things like that, but I'm willing to be patient and make sure we've been deliberate and make sure we know [the character's] direction and where we want to go." Doudrop stated that she was initially a bit skeptical about the name change but fully embraced it later: "Admittedly, I was skeptical at first but for me, I feel like things are only a problem if you view them as such. And although it took me a lot of time to get used to it and I can completely relate to everyone's thoughts (laughs), for me it was like, it is what it is, let's just lean in and see where it goes and as soon as I started to accept it and leaned more into it, the stuff just started to get better. Earlier, I was like, 'I don't know what to do."
