Since the shock return to SummerSlam, the trio of Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky and Bayley (now known as Control) have vowed to dominate the WWE women's division. On their path, however, the current Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss and Asuka stood before them.
The six will compete in Clash at the Castle in a few weeks, but their match could have a particular stipulation. Dakota Kai has in fact published a short story on Instagram with the following caption: "I smell war .... and I'm gone." Many immediately thought of the WarGames, a famous stipulation born in WCW and then reported by Triple H to NXT during the TakeOver of his creative management of the brand.
Now that Hunter is also in command of the main roster, the great steel cage that unites two rings could soon make her return, perhaps at Clash at the Castle.
The latest news on Dakota Kai
The WarGames were fundamental for Dakota Kai's career in WWE: her turn heel shock occurred in 2019, during the aforementioned stipulation, against Tegan Nox.
But that's not all, because he also took part in the 2020 and 2021 WarGames. The WarGames were also used in All Elite Wrestling with a very different name for copyright reasons: "Blood & Guts". In the past few weeks, Dakota Kai has revealed that her return to WWE was organized at the last moment and was strongly supported by Triple H himself.
The young wrestler was fired on April 29 along with several of her colleagues, but she never gave up. The idea of a stable with Bayley and Iyo Sky had also been proposed to Vince McMahon before his retirement but was rejected.
We remind you that Clash at the Castle will take place on Saturday 3rd September at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Over thirty years after the last major WWE event in a UK stadium, it was SummerSlam 92 at the time.
Dakota Kai recently spoke to NewsHub about all things WWE. "I'm the sort of person who gets really nervous before a big match - I guess that's what happens when you throw an introvert into an extraverted sport [laughs]. It wasn't until after the match was done and we were both safe and okay and then stepping backstage to a round of applause and amazing support from everyone. It validated a lot of the things I have been trying to do as a heel character."
