Booker T shares his thoughts on Braun Strowman

The devastating effects of the global pandemic have forced WWE to release a large number of talent over the past two years. Even a wrestler of the caliber of Braun Strowman had to pack his bags in June 2021. During his Stamford-based federation adventure, the 38-year-old from Sherrills Ford won the Universal title, the Intercontinental Championship and the Raw Tag Team Championship twice.

He also won the 2018 edition of Money in the Bank and the André the Giant Memorial Trophy at WrestleMania 35. On October 2, 2021, Braun debuted under his real name on the indie circuit by defeating EC3 in a cinematic match.

On December 11, 2021, he appeared at 'Final Battle', a Ring of Honor event, in which he, EC3 and Westin Blake attacked Eli Isom, Dal Drapped and Brian Johnson. Strowman currently performs for the small wrestling federation 'Control Your Narrative' and has no plans to return to WWE.

In the latest edition of the 'Hall of Fame' podcast, Booker T revealed that he doesn't miss 'Monster Among Men' at all.

"To be honest, I don't miss Braun Strowman," said Booker T.

“Eye does not see, heart does not hurt. If you go away from television screens for such a long time, people will end up forgetting you” - he added. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer doesn't rule out Braun's rethinking: “He's just taking some time to recharge his batteries and maybe he's enjoying his life thanks to the money he's earned in WWE.

When he realizes he has taken a step back, he will try to return to WWE or to go to AEW”. Booker T also talked about his future: “There are about six years to go until my current contract expires if not even seven.

I love my current job and have always had a great time in WWE. I have been involved in several projects in the last few years and I have no intention of leaving”. According to Hall of Famer Booker T, Lio Rush's rumored return to WWE could be a little controversial for the company.

"I think there's somebody out there right now that's knocking on the door, that's looking to get his foot in the door. Like a Lio Rush. I heard Lio Rush put something out, a cryptic tweet, and Lio Rush may be trying to make a return to the WWE. You know what, that's got controversy written all over it [Laughs]," said Booker T.
