EC3 talks about Goldberg

Goldberg is one of the most popular and controversial superstars of the modern era. Bill has had to take a lot of criticism for his excessive compensation and for the countless titled chances he has received over the years.

At the same time, it cannot be denied that he made the history of this business. In addition to being a four-time world champion, he was also a two-time WCW United States Champion and one-time WCW World Tag Team Champion with Bret Hart.

In 2003, he was recognized as the first undefeated world champion in wrestling history. In 2018, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame with full merit. Recently, the 55-year-old from Tulsa revealed that he is still under contract with WWE and plans to return to the ring in the future.

In a long interview granted to Sportskeeda, EC3 recalled the infamous match between Goldberg and The Undertaker at Super ShowDown 2019. That match became 'famous' due to the large number of botches.

EC3 opens up on Goldberg

“Goldberg suffered a couple of concussions during the match against The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia.

It was supposed to be an epic battle, but instead it turned into something different” - said EC3. "As the minutes went by, the meeting became more and more confusing and they both risked getting seriously hurt. Neither of them was satisfied with their performance and on the return flight they felt all their disappointment.

It's always bad when two legends fail to meet fan expectations. I remember Goldberg was furious with himself, he just couldn't get over it. We consoled him and told him we were happy for his extraordinary career” - he added.

EC3 also spoke of Triple H: “I can assure you that The Game is a true leader. Few people know this business better than he does and he now has enough experience to run WWE. I respect him very much and I think the company will grow significantly under his leadership." EC3 has given his thoughts on Goldberg making sporadic WWE appearances at the age of 55.

“In this moment in this time, I feel those guys put such a high level of expectation for perfection on them when physically you’re 55, you can’t do what you used to do,” EC3 said. “To try to conform and work to a style that’s infected the industry, the same bubble we’re all working in, they try to do that, too, because they see that’s what’s getting reactions, or they’re in the locker room and that’s how everyone’s acting”.
