In one of the last episodes of WWE The Bump, the company wanted to confirm the injury of its Hall of Famer Edge, obviously in a storyline key, with the Rated R Superstar who will stay out of the scene with a leg problem due to the attack of the Judgment Day on Monday Night Raw.
According to the protagonists who attended the secondary show of the company, Edge would have had a second degree strain of the medial collateral ligament of the leg attacked by his former stable on the red show. Obviously, no recovery times were given for the athlete, as the injury was orchestrated by the management to keep the wrestler out of the scene.
All this, of course, will allow Edge to be at home for a few weeks, since his contract includes only very few weekly on-screen appearances, having a very small agenda, a bit like Brock Lesnar.
Will Edge be at Extreme Rules?
Despite the exclusions from the episodes of Monday Night Raw to better sell his injury, WWE is still advertising the return of Edge for the next extreme ppv, or Extreme Rules.
Although the thing could have come as usual by surprise, the WWE has instead decided to begin to accustom the fans to the idea that his Hall of Famer can soon return to show up in front of his television screens. After seeing it right on the cover of the PPV poster for next 8 October, together with Ronda Rousey, Seth Rollins, Riddle, Bianca Belair and Bayley, confirmations in this sense arrive from some internal sources of the federation.
After asking some WWE sources about Edge, the Ringside News site reported that Edge will be ready to return for Extreme Rules, so his absence will only last another two weeks or so. We just have to wait very little, therefore, to see yet another revenge of the multiple world champion against his former stable which he gave life to immediately after Wrestlemania and who then betrayed him.
WWE legend Booker T has opened up about possibly facing Edge at WrestleMania in the future. "If they were to ask me to do a Wrestlemania match with Edge, of course I would do it. I don't think there's anything on their radar or anything like that.
I don't have any itch to scratch as far as getting back in the ring or anything. But you know me guys. I'm all about that paper, baby. You know, that WrestleMania check was always good. Always good," said Booker T.
