Has Saraya been contacted by WWE?

Although Saraya has now become All Elite and is part of the AEW, the new management of the WWE seems to have been interested in making it back to its old federation again. During the AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, which aired on September 21, 2022, Saraya shocked fans by stepping into Tony Khan's ring for the first time.

As the star came to the aid of Toni Storm and Athena, in New York's Arthur Ashe Stadium, she was greeted with a monstrous ovation from the audience. The former women's champion was a free agent since July 7, when her contract with WWE expired.

In fact, the former NXT champion hasn't fought a match since December 2017, when she suffered a serious neck injury during a live event. In the months following her injury, the star at the time known as Paige was forced to retire from competition in the ring.

Could Saraya return to WWE?

Now, after his long-time return to a wrestling federation, it's interesting to note that according to a Fightful Select report, prior to AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, WWE had several contacts with Saraya over the summer.

According to the source, the new WWE executives would have been genuinely interested in getting the girl to re-sign a contract but that didn't happen. During the AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, Toni Storm successfully defended the AEW women's title at the Interim against Britt Baker, Serena Deeb and Athena.

After the match Jamie Hayter ran into the ring and joined Britt Baker and Serena Deeb to hit Athena and Toni Storm until Saraya arrived. The former WWE Superstar was not involved in any physical confrontation but stated that AEW had become her home.

The former NXT star, in his farewell messages to WWE, had promised one day to return to the ring outside of the Stamford company. That day has now arrived and Saraya has thus begun her adventure in AEW. There have been many rumors about Paige's future and now everything has been revealed.

In the past, Saraya had already shown interest in AEW and now she has made her official debut at Tony Khan's court instead. In regards to her in-ring return, the former WWE superstar expressed her thoughts on The Sessions podcast with Renee Paquette that she would be willing to return for a big moment.

"If I was to have to be in the ring, it would be for a really big moment… to wrestle. I’ll do promos here and there for big companies, but to actually wrestle it would have to be a really big moment. I would love to face Sasha again for real… I feel like Hunter’s gonna get her back.

I feel like now Hunter’s took over everyone’s gonna be like, ‘I’m ready to come home!’. ”
