Triple H Talks About Upcoming WarGames and Safety

Triple H is the current Chief Content Office of the WWE, and he recently announced that WarGames will be part of this year’s Survivor Series event. WarGames is a format that hasn’t been used at a major WWE event.

Triple H Speaks About Whether We Will See Blood in WarGames

WarGames was a huge part of WCW back in its glory days. It featured two rings placed side-by-side. A big cage surrounded the rings. Two teams would then be placed against each other.

The teams usually consisted of 4 to 5 wrestlers. The wrestlers would then enter the structure at different intervals to fight each other. Since WWE went PG, we haven’t seen them make use of blood in their matches. However, WarGames is an extremely violent format and blood was regularly featured in WCW’s version of WarGames.

Triple H spoke about whether we will see blood in WarGames. "I don't think it's necessary," Levesque said. "If we have talent that gets [cut open], usually you'll see them roll out, and they'll get looked at to make sure that there's nothing dangerous.

I'm just of the opinion right now, given the state of the world and the pandemic, and at the end of the day, what we do is dangerous enough without intentionally making it more dangerous." Triple H further explained, "When you have guys and women performing at the highest of levels, I feel like I spend more time talking them out of stuff than I do [otherwise] ...

I feel like there's always a risk-to-reward ratio." He continued, "Is it so big that people are gonna walk away from this with that vision implanted in their minds, and they'll never forget it? Because if you are risking your health and your longevity in your profession, over that spot, over that moment, it needs to be worth it.'

" Like previously stated, WWE hasn’t used WarGames in any major event. However, WarGames has been a part of some NXT events. Some of the WarGames matches actually provided some jaw-dropping moments. For example, many people remember Tomasso Ciampa’s big Air Raid Crash from the top of the cage.

This was when he was fighting against Adam Cole during an NXT Event. WarGames did produce some great matches, however, it was also sometimes extremely confusing as sometimes a lot happens inside the ring at the same time.
