Shawn Michaels talks about his new job

Shawn Michaels is considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, although his ego has caused several backstage problems. The unbridled ambition and the desire to break through made HBK a performer with whom it was very difficult to interact in the early years of his career, so much so that he was involved in numerous unpleasant episodes (including the very famous 'Screwjob in Montreal').

In addition to being a four-time world champion, the Chandler champion has won the Royal Rumble match twice in a row and was the first to complete the Grand Slam. His career in the ring ended in 2010, at WrestleMania 26, after losing to The Undertaker in one of the most spectacular matches of the modern era.

After hanging up his boots, Shawn found new inspiration by helping his great friend Triple H at NXT. His work was greatly appreciated by the management, having helped several young athletes to fully express their talent. Interviewed by the 'San Antonio Express-News', Michaels explained how this new job has rekindled his passion for wrestling.

Shawn Michaels on his NXT experience

“I love to help the young superstars who set foot on NXT” - revealed Shawn Michaels. “When I left wrestling wrestling in 2010, I didn't think I was going to get involved in this business.

I wanted to get away and enjoy my retirement” - he added. Despite retiring from WrestleMania 26, Michaels returned to the ring at Crown Jewel in 2018. On that occasion, he teamed up with Triple H to take on The Undertaker and Kane in a tag team match.

HBK and The Game will appear in the October 10 episode of Raw to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the birth of 'D-Generation X' In the same interview, Shawn also talked about Logan Paul: “I think he's an incredibly gifted athlete.

Logan is already hugely popular, which can be a plus and a drawback. He has to find the time to work on the basics of wrestling, it's essential if he wants to get to the top of the company”. WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels said Vince McMahon didn't let him get out of his contract to join WCW.

“I can’t say that I was ever offered a job by Eric Bischoff,” Michaels said. “Obviously, Scott and Kevin would say, ‘Hey buddy, you get out of your contract, you could come here.’ There was never any real serious offers or plans for me to go there. I remember asking Vince once to let me go. He said, ‘No,’ and that was the end of it”.
