Logan Paul made his WWE ring debut at WrestleMania 38, where he joined forces with The Miz to take on Rey and Dominik Mysterio in a truly spectacular tag team match. 'The Maverick' then clashed with 'The A-Lister' at SummerSlam, the biggest pay-per-view of the summer, unleashing another surprising performance.
The former youtuber will be called to face Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel, the highly anticipated event that will take place on November 5 in Saudi Arabia. The 'Tribal Chief' has been the undisputed leader of the company for a couple of years and no one has managed to break his hegemony.
Brock Lesnar has given it his all in recent months, but was defeated by the former Shield member at both WrestleMania 38 and SummerSlam. Not everyone liked the WWE's choice to send Logan to fight for the world title, as recent statements by Drew McIntyre show.
In the latest edition of the 'Masked Man Show', UFC legend Daniel Cormier - who participated in Extreme Rules as a special referee - had nice words for Paul.
Daniel Cormier praises Logan Paul
“Logan Paul is a great guy.
Whether you love him or hate him, there's no denying that he has a talent out of the ordinary. Besides being a great athlete, he knows how to entertain people. He is working hard to carve out a space in this business and he is leaving nothing to chance.
He surrounded himself with many top-level professionals to make his dreams come true” - said Daniel Cormier. Daniel then recounted his experience to Extreme Rules: “I was very nervous backstage and couldn't calm down.
Obviously I knew the progress and the result of the match, but I started to forget everything because of the tension. As soon as I got into the ring, the energy of the audience made that nervousness disappear and I had a lot of fun.
It was a wonderful experience". According to reports from Dave Meltzer, Cormier has not signed a long-term contract with WWE and will not appear in the coming weeks. Logan Paul has commented on why he made the decision to sign with WWE.
"Passion, when I did WrestleMania, I had so much fun. All my friends had fun, we were all smiling. It was awesome. I was looking at the clips, 'I can't believe that was me. Those were big jumps.' Business, it's smart, they pay well. WWE, it's a big organization. Media, it's a show. It's great performance and entertainment."
