It has now been several months since Vince McMahon announced his resounding farewell to WWE. The now former Chairman of the company decided to say enough last July, overwhelmed by heavy allegations of misconduct following an investigation by the Wall Street Journal.
The former CEO of the Stamford company, had in fact been accused of having deliberately covered up extramarital affairs he had had with several women, paying for their silence with the company's money. His right-hand man John Laurinaitis - former head of talent relations - was also dismissed from the Stamford federation to general amazement.
Vince's place was taken by his daughter Stephanie and Nick Khan as CEO, while Triple H became the new head of the creative team, on both the main roster and NXT. The 14-time world champion immediately gave his creative touch to the shows, as well as bringing back several stars who had been released during the pandemic, such as Mia Yim, Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt, Dexter Lumis and many more.
In recent weeks, many athletes and insiders have wanted to have their say in the various podcasts and in their various interviews, trying to explain how WWE has changed from having Vince McMahon as the undisputed leader, to having different management figures now.
New details on Vince McMahon
Apparently, although initially many were afraid that the creative and corporate control would still remain in the hands of former Chairman Vince McMahon, in the last few hours a rumor would have emerged from the internal circles of the WWE that would confirm that Mr McMahon has completely evaporated from the circles of the federation.
According to what was reported in the last hours by the well-known Sean Ross Sapp of the Fightful site, in fact, no one would have heard or talked to Vince McMahon in recent months among the WWE insiders. In his latest update, Sapp stated: "Those we talked to in WWE tell us that almost no one has talked to Vince McMahon these days, even though everyone knows that he is out anyway, someone is not necessarily looking for him as before." In practice, therefore, it seems that the fear and the danger that Vince McMahon could return to work from behind the scenes, in a hidden way for the WWE are now totally unfounded things, with Triple H and his wife Stephanie Mcmahon who have now totally taken over the family business.
Since then, his daughter, Stephanie McMahon, and son-in-law, Triple H, have taken up the mantle of running the global juggernaut.
