Mia Yim reveals that she has seriously thought about retirement

The devastating effects of the global pandemic and the resounding retirement of Vince McMahon ushered in a new era in WWE. A lot has changed in Stamford after Vince announced his farewell last July, giving his place to his daughter Stephanie and Nick Khan.

Triple H has become the new head of the creative team and has shown that he has a very different philosophy from that of his illustrious predecessor. In addition to transferring some of NXT's talents to the main roster, the 14-time world champion has brought several stars back to the company who had been released.

The Game even convinced Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman and Johnny Gargano to sign with WWE again, not forgetting JBL's welcome return to Raw. Among the superstars who have returned to the Stamford company, it is also worth mentioning Mia Yim.

She was released in November 2021 due to budget cuts, after having been a member of the stable 'RETRIBUTION' on the main roster. A guest on the latest edition of 'SHAK Wrestling', Mia Yim admitted that she seriously thought about retiring after her release.

New details on Mia Yim

"I thought a lot if it was the case to continue doing this job, I was not at all sure" - confessed Mia Yim. “Fortunately, I was able to work on myself and rekindle my passion for wrestling. At some point, so many doubts arose in my mind and I felt that my time was up.

I thought I wasn't as good as 5-10 years ago and it was time to hang up my boots. I needed a pause for reflection. That period was fundamental to find the stimuli. The advent of Triple H as the new head of the creative team gave me a further boost.

I got along well with HHH since NXT, it's easy to talk to him. I respect him very much, he's really smart and creative” - she added. Mandy Rose was recently asked about the possibility of Tino Sabbatelli's return, and the NXT Women's Champion was unsurprisingly in favor of the move.

"I mean, I don't know. I would love that. I think there is so much, obviously, we know, there is so much missed opportunity and so much potential that we could see. (Tino looks like a million bucks) I know! I don't get it either, and not a lot of people get it, but you know how it is in this business, it's hard to get, but I mean, I think it would be awesome. I would love it. You never know, right?"
