What are WWE's plans for Charlotte Flair?

Charlotte Flair hasn't appeared in WWE since May, when she took time off to plan her wedding to AEW star Andrade El Idolo. The two tied the knot in Mexico in late May and were expected to see Charlotte back in the ring relatively quickly.

Although Andrade returned to All Elite Wrestling shortly after the wedding, until he was suspended for the backstage brawl, Charlotte continued to stay away from WWE for undisclosed reasons. The daughter of the legendary Ric has shared several social photos of her in recent months, the latest of which showed her with her SmackDown Women's Championship around her waist.

Last weekend the Survivor Series took place, which gave emotions and twists. At this point, one wonders when it will be possible to see the 13-time women's champion again. In a recent interview, Ric Flair admitted that he doesn't know exactly when his daughter will return to action.

Update on Charlotte Flair's status

“To be honest, I have no idea” – confessed Ric Flair. “Charlotte Flair keeps it all to herself. I know you are in contact with WWE, but I don't know the details. Even if I knew more, I couldn't reveal any information to the media” – added the 16-time world champion.

In the latest edition of the show 'Mas Lucha', Andrade El Idolo gave some updates on Charlotte's situation: "My wife has not yet returned to wrestle due to personal reasons, which she will specify in the future. It was not easy for us to manage the various commitments.

She left on Thursdays and worked every weekend, while I left on Tuesdays and returned on Thursdays. At this moment I can see her more, but I assure you that her return is not far away." According to some rumors, Charlotte will not return before the Royal Rumble 2023.

The royal brawl should also host the great returns of Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, both absent for several months due to injury. The Royal Rumble 2023 will take place on January 28 in San Antonio. On the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell told SP3 that he thinks six-time Women's Champion Bayley will feud with Charlotte Flair going forward while also criticizing WWE's handling of Lacey Evans: "I think her [Bayley's] next angle, her next opponent, going forward, will be Charlotte Flair.

And if they hadn't beaten the hell out of Lacey Evans like that, she would have been a great one to step up. If they wanted to get her over for Charlotte, a little more."
