During an appearance at the Wells Fargo TMT Summit, the current WWE President and CEO Stephanie Mcmahon spoke about the possibility of bringing a Premium Live Event of her company to Australia, a topic that came out in the middle of a Foxtel-related speech that takes care of the airing of the WWE shows right in the land of kangaroos.
In fact, the daughter of the former Chairman of the Stamford company said: "Look at our new agreement in Australia with Foxtel, and we need to bring a stadium event to Australia, but how do we analyze it in order to have our own Premium International Live Event? How does that work in terms of domestic strategy? How are we going to maximize our opportunities there?” We remind you that the last time WWE held a major event in Australia was when it brought its Super ShowDown to Melbourne in October 2018, more precisely to the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
WWE dreams of big things
During an interview dating back to February of this year, Rhea Ripley, an Australian wrestler, had spoken of a dream match with Beth Phoenix that she could do in her country: "I always say it, but I want to fight with Beth Phoenix.
I really want it and let's just say if she was the one with the WWE SmackDown Women's title I would have gone for that because she's the only one I haven't won yet.If it was me and Beth Phoenix for the Smackdown Women's Championship in Adelaide, South Australia, it would be absolutely amazing.
” The Hall Of Famer had responded to this possible challenge thus: "This is the answer that everyone hates; we have to see. [laughs]. I don't know. With wrestling, I take it one day at a time. Everything changes, anything can happen This is a young woman I've loved to watch grow and blossom and thrive [...] Whether or not I'll get any revenge [for what also happened with husband Edge on Judgment Day] remains to be seen.
I'd like to see that happen." Triple H is reportedly bringing back WWE Superstar Eric Young, as per the latest report by PWInsider.
