Stephanie McMahon leaves WWE

Vince Mcmahon shocked the world by announcing his retirement this past July. A move that left both fans and insiders speechless, sanctioning the beginning of a new era. The now former Chairman of the company also stepped aside due to the serious allegations of misconduct that fell upon him following an investigation by the Wall Street Journal.

Vince's place was taken by his daughter Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan as CEO of the company, while Triple H became the new head of the creative team. The Game brought back several stars who had been released, sending fans into raptures and boosting backstage morale considerably, with returnees such as Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Dexter Lumis and Johnny Gargano electrifying everyone.

In recent weeks, rumors of a possible return of Vince McMahon to WWE had become increasingly insistent. Vince felt he'd gotten the wrong advice from his closest associates and was doing everything to get his foot back in Stamford.

In the end, the Chairman succeeded in his intent, re-presenting himself on the WWE board of directors, having most of the company's shares and placing two of his close collaborators on the company's board of directors.

With news that initially arrived quietly, from various internal WWE sources at different sites and then officially confirmed by WWE itself, Stephanie McMahon has resigned as Chairwoman of the Stamford company, taking a step back to make room for the father, after only a few months at the helm of the family federation.

This is the statement that the former Chairwoman herself wanted to release on the official WWE website: "Dear WWE Universe, About 8 months ago, I took a break for a few weeks, unexpectedly I had the opportunity of a lifetime.

I was privileged to return as Co-CEO and Board Chairwoman of WWE. I can't put into words how proud she was to take the reins of what I consider to be the largest company in the world, working alongside an esteemed team leader and one of the executives I've known as my Co-CEO, Nick Khan.

Our founder, Vince McMahon, is back as Executive Chairman and is implementing a new process regarding alternative strategies. And with the leadership of Nick and Paul 'Triple H' Levesque as Chief Content Officers, I'm confident WWE is in the perfect place and will continue to deliver creative content and the best in shareholder value.

WWE is in such a strong place, that I have decided to step down and step back, handing in my resignation. I look forward to supporting WWE on the other side of the business, where I started as a little fan. I will always be dedicated to WWE.

I truly love our company, our employees, our Superstars and our fans. And I am grateful to all our partners. Thanks for everything. Then. Now. forever. Together. -Steph".
