EC3 comments on The Rock

The Rock is a wrestling icon, although his WWE career didn't last very long. Johnson has in fact moved away from this business since the early 2000s to try to break through in the world of cinema, succeeding in a very short time.

The eight-time WWE Champion has become one of the highest paid and most respected actors in Hollywood, having starred in numerous blockbuster films. The Rock played the title role in 'Black Adam' which was released in 2022 to the delight of audiences.

It is rumored that 'The Brahma Bull' will be Roman Reigns' opponent at Wrestlemania 39, which will be held on April 1 and 2, 2023 a stone's throw from Hollywood. With less than three months to go until the 'Showcase of the Immortals', it is still unclear whether this dream match will take place or not.

In the latest edition of 'The Wrestling Outlaws' on Sportskeeda, EC3 - which was in WWE between 2009 and 2013 - revealed that The Rock suffered a serious injury during his match against John Cena at WrestleMania 29.

EC3 opens up on The Rock

“The Rock was injured during his match against John Cena at WrestleMania 29.

When you are no longer used to certain rhythms, your body is at risk of being affected and that is exactly what happened. You are more vulnerable and injuries are around the corner. How do I know? Because I've been there too” – said EC3.

The latter reflected on the possible return of The Rock: “WWE is doing everything to convince The Rock to enter the ring, because The Great One is able to attract even the casual fans. A possible clash between Roman Reigns and The Rock would literally soar the ratings.

Is it worth it for The Rock to risk getting injured and losing his movie deals? Some would say no, but nothing compares to the roar of 80,000 people going crazy over you." During the latest Wrestling Observer newsletter, reporter Dave Meltzer spoke about the possibility of The Rock and John Cena appearing at WrestleMania 39.

According to Meltzer, neither of them is sure they will make it to the event, but John Cena's presence would appear to be more likely than Dwayne Johnson's. WWE fans are seemingly keen to see The Rock return to the company this year.

"They better put a full court press to get The Rock at WrestleMania, if they don’t do it this year they might never get a chance to. It’s Los Angeles, Roman Reigns it’s perfect. I think they should go full on, try to get The Rock, because it may be now or never," said Cornette.
