Matt Riddle is back on social media

Matt Riddle disappeared from WWE programming after failing two drug tests in the past few months. 'The Original Bro' had joined forces with Kevin Owens to face The Usos and try to clinch the tag titles. Elias was supposed to be Riddle's partner, but the Bloodline attacked 'The Drifter' in a lot earlier in the show knocking him out.

KO and Matt got along pretty well together, managing to give a hard time to the longest-running tag team champions in the history of the company. The Usos still took the win and Solo Sikoa brutally attacked poor Riddle at the end of the match.

According to the latest rumors, Riddle - who was punished by WWE and forced to go to rehab - is expected to return next month. Recall that Matt's contract with the company will expire at the end of this year and his future is no longer as secure as it appeared until recently.

Backstage details on Matt Riddle

Meanwhile, Matt Riddle posted a photo on Twitter of himself with his family. “I am really happy to be back with my family. We ate the sushi and enjoyed it a lot. I hope everyone is having a great day” – he reads in his post.

In a long interview with Sportskeeda, former SmackDown general manager Teddy Long said that Matt Riddle needs to be very careful about how he behaves in the coming months. “Matt Riddle is on probation right now, I don't know if you get the idea.

Riddle has to be very careful with how he moves over the next few months and he has to keep his fingers crossed. His current contract with WWE expires at the end of 2023 and his future hangs in the balance after the latest events” - said Teddy Long.

Riddle was greatly damaged by the injury of Randy Orton, with whom he had formed a very successful partnership. The Viper suffered a serious back injury and the hypothesis of retirement cannot be ruled out. During a recent episode of his Cafe de Rene podcast, Rene Dupree reflected on his time in rehab while touching upon Riddle's situation.

"I know rehabs. I've had plenty of experience in rehab. Been there a few times. And he apparently sent out a post. Well, here's the thing about rehab folks, when you're into rehab you're not allowed to have any type of telephones or any type of contact with the outside world because you're in there to concentrate on your problem, focus on your issues and they don't allow you to have a telephone."
