Naomi turned down a big contract with WWE

In recent weeks there had been a lot of talk about the fact that Sasha Banks, now simply Mercedes Vernado, her real name, could have appeared in the rings of Wrestle Kingdom, the most awaited event of the year for New Japan Pro Wrestling, one of the most historic companies of Japan.

According to various sources, in fact, Sasha's lawyers had already negotiated with the WWE several months ago for her exit from the Stamford company, with her contract which would thus have expired. Finally, Sasha Banks did indeed make her NJPW ring debut, under the name Mercedes Moné.

Shortly before Mercedes' arrival in the rings of the Japanese company, rumors had also emerged that saw Naomi follow her former WWE tag team partner, with Naomi who instead did not take part in the event as the protagonist athlete, nor has she ever debuted in the rings of no other company in the world.

In the last few hours, however, very important details have emerged on the contract that Naomi was about to sign with WWE shortly before her exit from the scene, with Jimmy Uso's wife who instead screwed everything up, disappearing from day to night and leaving the WWE without its tag team champions.

Latest news on Naomi

In the last few hours, the well-known journalist Sean Ross Sapp of the Fightful website reported in one of his daily updates how Naomi had the best contract ever signed with WWE in front of her, which was almost about to be finalized, until the girl however, she left the company.

Regarding this topic, Sapp said: “Naomi's contract was close to expiring before she walked away, but both parties seemed excited to be able to extend the deal. Specifically, Fightful was reported that Naomi was facing the largest amount of money on a contract of her entire career before things derailed with the May issues and she and Sasha Banks jumped ship.

Other sources have now reported that the two parties are still connected and many within the federation are convinced that sooner or later Naomi will return to WWE, even if a timetable has not been given for it". Former WWE star Ariane Andrew, aka Cameron, recently opened up about her fight with Naomi on the first season of Total Divas.

"It was so bad, to the point I was like, 'We're not friends anymore,'" Cameron said. "I was like, 'I'm not friends with you.' I was like, 'I'm done. You're good.' It was bad. I remember being in each other's face. I pushed her, she pushed me, and I was like, 'Don't you f***ing touch me" - she said on The Bellas Podcast.
