Kylie Rae reflects on her WWE experience

On December 15, 2022, Kylie Rae made her WWE debut with a match on Main Event, a show that the company records in conjunction with other shows. However, the wrestler debuted under the name of Briana Rae, when her real name is Brianna Rae Sparrey challenging Dana Brooke.

During an interview on the Going Broadway podcast, she recounted how she managed to get to WWE: “I was no longer signed to the NWA, so I was able to write my name for a chance to do some extra work: ' If all of you are in need of women I am more than happy to be considered for this opportunity please let me know.

If not, I completely understand.' [...] In essence, she was: 'I think we can get a tryout if you're able to do that. ' One thing I appreciated was that we talked about my mental health with Gabe Sapolsky and sobriety [from alcohol and drugs ed.] also came up in all of this and he didn't focus on that, he asked me how I was doing in that moment.

[…] It was a good conversation. Gabe Sapolsky told me, 'I want to make sure you're okay. Please be honest with me, if you're not ready for this, I don't want to go down this road until you're ready.' I was like, 'I can't predict the future, but I feel as good as I've ever felt.'

” The wrestler has suffered from depression for quite some time and her mental health has often led her to take breaks, but now she fortunately seems to be doing better.

Latest news on Kylie Rae

Kylie Rae said she had several tryouts, got to wrestle against already signed talent and was also able to do promos with Fit Finlay, Matt Bloom, Shawn Michaels, and attended NXT tapings, but is not signed yet.

"I went there thinking, 'I'm not going to sign a contract so that I can enjoy the experience and learn everything I can learn.' That was my mindset. 'The opportunity I'm having is to go to this tryout. I don't think anything will come after that.'

Which probably helped because she took some of the pressure off me 'Let me do everything perfectly, let me impress the right people.' It's very intimidating to be there, but I was really enjoying myself.' WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has praised a former student of his Kylie Rae: "I wanna congratulate Kylie Rae, man," Booker said.

"She got another tryout with WWE. Hopefully it works out for her, and she gets another chance to make another run at this thing because talking about Roxanne [Perez], Kylie Rae, there's another one, man. She's just as good. I saw a quote on Twitter that said, 'Reality of Wrestling, we don't create wrestlers, we create stars."
