WWE wanted to surprise us once again at the end of 2022 when, in the last episode of Smackdown of the year aired on December 30, it made its return, after 8 long months of absence due to his marriage and a dental surgery, Charlotte Flair.
The Queen showed up after the SmackDown Women's Title match between Ronda Rousey and Raquel Rodriguez, where Rowdy managed to retain the title, coming up with a new theme song, new gear and a new face attitude, going to challenge the champion and then steal the title from her in just 41 seconds to the delight of the fans who were tired of the former UFC fighter.
In a new interview on the Out of Character podcast with Ryan Satin, Charlotte Flair recounted when she learned she was coming back and winning the title: “Just around Christmas. I really wanted to go back to Survivor Series, but I had just finished to have my last few stitches taken away from me.
So he [the doctor] was like, 'Don't overdo it.' I got the green light the week of the new year. I didn't find out I was going to win the title until I got there."
Update on Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair said that she didn't have any attire with her to be able to fight, but that her cleaning lady brought it to her in a hurry: “I didn't have my attire with me.
My amazing cleaning lady brought me my attire. I should have understood that. I come to a wrestling show, I just brought my outfit. I thought it would just be a surprise date because I'd been gone for so long, I didn't need big fireworks, but when I got there they said, 'You need your gear.'
I got the call maybe around five o'clock that I needed the gear, right before I got to the arena. She [the cleaning lady] arrived at the arena about a quarter past seven." SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair recently reacted to Saraya's (fka Paige) social media post, where she opened up on her journey.
Saraya took to Twitter to talk about her journey so far and the person she has become today. "Seeing how far I’ve come is f*cking awesome. I feel so lucky to be where I am today. Sometimes you forget the sh*t you’ve gone through and don’t give yourself enough credit on where you’re at. And that’s to everyone too not just me. Keep it going," tweeted Saraya.
