During the last episode of Monday Night Raw which was staged on the evening of Monday February 6, 2023, WWE finally pitted Becky Lynch and Bayley in the highly anticipated Steel Cage Match which was already supposed to take place two weeks ago during Raw is XXX, but which it was ultimately postponed as the Bloodline had gone too far during the opening segment of the show and having to make a choice, Triple H cut out the women's match.
Despite the middle cage, the Damage CTRLs still started to annoy The Man, so much so that a legend had to intervene to save her and even help her win since there is no disqualification, and we're talking about Lita. She the Irish had already revealed backstage that she had a plan in mind to counter the trio and in the end everyone found out which one she was in the main event of the show.
The Hall of Famer made her way to the ring, took down both Dakota Kai, who arrived on crutches, and IYO SKY, before slamming the cage door in Bayley's face thus allowing the former Raw champion to back following a Manhandle Slam.
Lita then stepped into the ring, hugged the winner and raised her hand.
Lita is a WWE legend
You will surely remember that exactly one year ago, on February 19, 2022, Becky Lynch and Lita clashed in the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, which WWE staged from Saudi Arabia, for the Raw women's title, with Big Time Becks who managed to get the better of the legend.
Now it seems instead that the two have become great allies looking for a third worker who can team up with them to take down Damage CTRL once and for all, because in fact the Twitter profile WRKD Wrestling tweeted: “Expect Lita tonight.
Trish next week. Becky/Trish/Lita vs. Damage CTRL at Elimination Chamber." All of this was also confirmed by well-known Fightful journalist Sean Ross Sapp. Ahead of her big victory last night on the red brand, Carmella made a bold claim in an interview with WWE personality Byron Saxton.
"I've never been RAW Women's Champion. I've been tag team champion, I've been SmackDown Women's Champion, but I've never been RAW Women's Champion. But I have defeated Bianca Belair before, albeit it was by count out but who the heck cares? Not me, because I did beat her and a win is a win.
She's tough, but I am the trendsetter, the go-getter, honey never been better because Mella is money," said Carmella.
