Booker T Speaks About JBL and Baron Corbin Storyline

Ever since Triple H took over the company and became the head of the creative team, he has made several changes to Raw and Smackdown. Once of the major changes that he made was moving Baron Corbin to RAW. He then assigned JBL as his manager.

JBL is a WWE Hall of Famer and a former WWE Heavyweight Champion. Corbin won four matches but is now on a losing streak since the 21st of November. At one time, Corbin was one of the top heels in the company.

"I haven't read that rumor either, but I'm sure this is cutting into JBL's golf time," Booker T said.

"I don't know where the JBL and Corbin thing has been going as of late. I've seen a little bit of it, but it's kind of hard to recreate JBL. It's hard to see somebody else play that role just because John was different. He wasn't a guy that did a whole lot in the ring but just beat you up.

He looked like he had money. He looked like that guy from Texas that was just swimming in Texas tears." Things actually took an unexpected turn on the 6th of February. This was after Baron Corbin lost his match that night and then threatened to end their partnership.

This basically means that the WWE might not want the partnership to continue and probably have changed their mind on this. Booker T, the legendary WWE Hall of Famer, recently spoke about this and stated that this is most likely a rumor.

Meanwhile, JBL was actually a very active wrestler at one time and was one of the most popular heel wrestlers in the world at one point. Before being a solo wrestler, he was part of the APA and fought some of WWE’s best tag team wrestlers of his time.

JBL, picked up numerous injuries during his career which forced him to retire early. The last time we saw him perform in the ring as an active wrestler was back in WrestleMania 25 which was held in 2010. After that, he appeared once in the 2014 Royal Rumble.

He has also made several sporadic appearances for the WWE. After retiring, JBL worked as a heel commentator for a very long time. He quit the role in 2017 and has since then not been very relevant in the world of professional wrestling.
