Jerry Lawler feels better after surgery

As everyone knows by now, Jerry Lawler suffered a stroke a few days ago. The WWE legend, who appeared at the 2023 Royal Rumble during the kickoff, underwent surgery and is recovering well. 'The King' has already left intensive care, where he had been hospitalized following his illness.

In the latest edition of 'Smack Talk' on Sportskeeda, former WWE manager Dutch Mantell denied the reconstruction according to which Jerry was found face down in his apartment: "When I read the reconstructions of what happened in the newspapers, I investigated and found they were not accurate.

Lawler wasn't found face down in his Fort Myers apartment, that's fake. I'll tell you in detail what happened that Monday. Jerry was alone in his apartment because his partner was still in Memphis and was coming down the next day.

Lawler got on his moped and joined a group of friends. When he entered the club, people immediately realized that something was wrong with him. Thankfully, the club owner's daughter knew exactly what was going on. She knew Jerry was going to have a stroke because she is a nurse working at a hospital that specializes in stroke patients.

In some ways, you can tell Jerry was very lucky."

Jerry Lawler is feeling better

In the last few hours, Jerry Lawler's social pages wanted to bring updates on his condition, writing: "Jerry is out of intensive care and will return to his home in Florida for home rehabilitation due to the limitation of speech and cognitive abilities.

The doctors are hoping for a full recovery and Jerry is looking ahead, he wants to get back to his fans very soon – Lauryn”. Lawler, 73, had just appeared on the WWE Royal Rumble 2023 Kickoff Show panel two weeks ago and had an autograph session in Florida over the weekend.

We can only wish Jerry Lawler a speedy recovery. WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler suffered a stroke this week but is recovering well. "FROM KEVIN LAWLER: Jerry LAWLER is scheduled to be released this afternoon way ahead of schedule.

No confirmation yet if that’s happened. Good news for Jerry. He’ll now undergo physical therapy and recover in FL at his condo. Good luck. 🍀 @WSI_YouTube," tweeted Dutch Mantell. Considering their long-standing friendship, Jim Ross was able to talk to the veteran and provide an update with a tweet.

"I spoke very briefly with @JerryLawler⁩ tonight. He’s obviously weak but I could understand his affected speech. Jerry’s prognosis is positive but he needs all our thoughts and prayers. #LoveYaKing".
