WWE's Kofi Kingston to Undergo Surgery, Return Delayed

In the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was made clear that Kofi Kingston, a member of The New Day, will need surgery on an injured ankle. As a result, he will not be able to compete in WrestleMania 39. Drew Mcintyre accidentally landed on Kingston's ankle when he did a flip dive onto a group of wrestlers outside the ring on the March 3 episode of "WWE SmackDown." Kingston suffered the injury.

At first, it was trusted that Kingston would just be down and out for half a month and stay away from a medical procedure. As a result, his status at WrestleMania was described as "touch-and-go." However, from an in-ring perspective, Kingston will miss out on the Grandest Stage Of Them All now that it has been confirmed that he will undergo surgery.

The former WWE Champion will require a prolonged rehabilitation period due to the delay in his return caused by the ankle surgery. However, there is no established timetable for his suspension. Kingston talked about people's acts of kindness before the surgery in Birmingham, Alabama, where the surgery was done.

WrestleMania Status and Recent WWE Activities of Kofi Kingston

Kingston and Woods regularly competed against Pretty Deadly and Gallus during their time on the black and gold brand. They recently won the "NXT" Tag Team Championship.

They had resumed their work primarily on the main roster, and Kingston was scheduled to participate in the fatal five-way match between the top contenders on "SmackDown." He was injured, so Xavier Woods took his place. In the end, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre won that match simultaneously.

They will now compete to see who will face Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania. Although Kingston cannot compete, he may still use a promo or backstage segment at WrestleMania to spread positivity.

The injury is a significant setback for Kingston, a famous wrestler in the WWE for several years. He is a fan favorite thanks to his high-flying moves and infectious personality. Throughout his career, he has won multiple championships, including the WWE Championship.

Although it is disappointing that Kingston will not be able to wrestle at WrestleMania, his recovery is of the utmost importance to guarantee that he will return to the ring fully fit and prepared to compete.
