Tensions between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn continued to rise on the most recent episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. Owens declined Cody Rhodes' initial invitation to the ring to resolve their differences with Zayn. Despite Zayn's efforts to reconcile, Owens remained steadfast in ending their friendship.
Zayn met Owens after the commercial break, allowing him to express his frustrations. Zayn even let Owens punch him or yell at him if it would help Owens express his feelings. Yet again, nonetheless, Owens would not draw in and left Zayn.

In the ring, Zayn had a heated argument with Jey Uso later in the main event. Uso expressed his disdain for Zayn and acknowledged that he had never trusted him. Uso, on the other hand, began to warm up to Zayn as the fans started to show their support for him.
Uso said that Zayn had betrayed him, made him feel bad, and looked foolish in front of the world. Zayn was referred to as a "fake ass Uce" by Uso. Zayn retaliated by stating that Uso had decided to endure Roman Reigns' abuse.
Zayn did not take Uso's insults lightly. Zayn thought that Uso was only upset with himself for not being able to hit Roman Reigns first with a chair. The two wrestlers traded blows, but Jimmy Uso entered the ring to calm things down.
Owens returned to the building and used steel steps to attack Jimmy and Jey Uso just as things worsened. Owens and Zayn finally reconciled with a long-awaited hug after the attack stopped any more damage. Rhodes was pleased to see the two former friends finally put their differences aside as he watched from backstage.
In the most recent episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Owens and Zayn's complicated relationship took a dramatic turn. Despite their troubled pasts, the two former friends appear ready to move on and put their differences behind them. If their newly found reconciliation lasts, only time will tell.
