The five-time Women's Champion did not explicitly confirm any correlation between the two events, even though this significant health-related development could explain her absence from WWE.

The information was made public in the sixth episode of the show's ninth season. Following her performance, Bliss was revealed to be the salamander-like character Axolotl. The episode's theme was "Country Night," The song "Can't Fight the Moonlight" by LeAnn Rimes was performed by Axolotl, now known as Alexa Bliss.

Bliss shared how this particular song had helped her recover from an eating disorder, a struggle she had previously openly discussed.
