Becky Lynch Shocking Heel Turn on WWE Raw Betrays Fans

On Monday night's episode of WWE Raw, a shocking turn of events resulted in Becky Lynch losing half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, and her Hall of Fame partner Trish Stratus has a lot to explain. Before the night, Lita was gone behind the stage while their title challengers, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, appeared on the field.

Even though Stratus stepped in for Lita, the title match went as planned despite her unfortunate absence. Stratus said she and Lynch could finish the job because they beat Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 39. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned.

Liv Morgan and Rodriguez became the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions after intercepting Stratus' signature move, the Chick Kick, and rolling her up to win the pinfall match. But Lynch's miserable night didn't end there. "The Man" attempted to console her partner after the defeat, but Stratus struck Lynch when she turned her back.

The WWE Hall of Famer hit Lynch with the Chick Kick as she struggled to reach her feet, turning heel for the first time in nearly two decades.

Stratus Refuses to Explain Betrayal

Following the betrayal, the backstage reporter Byron Saxton attempted to obtain an explanation from Stratus, but she walked away.

This left a lot of unanswered questions for the WWE Universe, and there will be a lot of speculation until Stratus decides to speak up. It is important to note that this was Stratus's second match of 2023, and based on how she performed on Monday night, it appears certain that there will be more of them.

The WWE Universe is anxiously sitting tight for her to reveal an insight into her choice to sell out Lynch and turn heel after so long. Stratus's actions shocked and disappointed many fans, and some wonder if this was the plan or if something happened backstage to make him change his mind so quickly.

No matter what the explanation, one thing is clear: The partnership between Lynch and Stratus has come to an abrupt end, and the WWE Women's Tag Team division now has two new champions.
