Jim Ross Shares Health Update to Jerry Lawler

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler's health has been a topic of concern since he was hospitalized in Florida following a stroke nearly three months ago. Thankfully, Lawler has been steadily recovering and recently participated in inducting former rival Andy Kaufman into the WWE Hall of Fame via video.

In a recent tweet, his long-time commentary partner, Jim Ross, offered a heartfelt update on Lawler's condition. Ross tweeted about having an hour-long conversation with Lawler, mentioning that his voice seemed to strengthen as they spoke.

He added that Lawler is scheduled for a procedure next week to aid his recovery further. The duo had spent many years together as WWE Raw commentators, with Lawler now retired and Ross working as an AEW commentator for Friday night's "AEW Rampage."

Ross Overcomes Health Challenges

In recent years, Ross has faced health challenges, undergoing treatment for skin cancer in 2021.

He announced his cancer-free status at the end of that year but has since been coping with the aftermath of his treatment. Despite his recent health issues, Lawler is still expected to attend The Gathering IV convention in early August.

Fans can look forward to photo opportunities with the wrestling legend alongside other former competitors like Austin Idol and Tommy Rich. This appearance will begin Lawler's return to the convention circuit in improved health.

While the wrestling community has been concerned for Lawler's well-being, it is heartening to hear about his steady progress toward recovery. His resilience and determination to bounce back serve as an inspiration for fans and fellow wrestlers alike.

In the coming months, Lawler's supporters can look forward to more updates on his health and, hopefully, a total return to his public appearances. As he continues to recover, the wrestling world will be cheering him on every step of the way.
