WWE fans eagerly await John Cena's appearance in the upcoming Barbie movie, where he will star as Mermaid Ken. Directed by Greta Gerwig, the movie has already attracted a star-studded cast, with Margot Robbie playing the titular character, Ryan Gosling as Ken, and Emma Mackey, Will Ferrell, Michael Cera, Barbie Ferreira, and Simu Liu in supporting roles.

Cena's character will be one of several Ken dolls in the film, but his unique Mermaid Ken character is already causing a stir amongst fans. At the CinemaCon event at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, audiences were treated to exclusive footage of Cena as Mermaid Ken, alongside Kate McKinnon's Weird Barbie.

The sneak peek showcased the chemistry between Cena and Dua Lipa, who will play a mermaid in the film, sparking rumors that the two characters will have a romantic storyline. Reports suggest that including Cena's character adds a fresh dynamic to the movie's plot, making it more appealing to older audiences.

Gerwig Shares Joyful Experience Directing Barbie

Gerwig shared her experience making the movie and working with the talented cast during the Barbie panel at the event. Margot Robbie was the one who invited Gerwig on board for the project, and Gerwig revealed that the entire production process was a joyful experience.

She also discussed how she and Noah Baumbach, who co-wrote the script, had a lot of fun writing it and making each other laugh. Ryan Gosling also spoke about his experience playing Ken and how he initially doubted his "Ken-ergy" when offered the role.

However, he soon warmed up to the idea and admitted that he enjoyed playing the character. Gosling also talked about how he developed a "pink fever" while filming the movie. The Barbie movie is set to be released on July 21 and is expected to be a hit with fans of all ages. With an all-star cast and a unique storyline, the movie promises to be an entertaining experience for all.
