MMA star Jorge Masvidal has revealed that he is open to joining either WWE or AEW and has received offers from both companies in the past. Speaking in an interview with ESPN MMA, Masvidal stated that he would be willing to work with either promotion as long as the money was right.
The former UFC fighter, who recently announced his retirement from MMA, made a name for himself towards the end of his career with his highlight reel knockouts of Ben Askren and Nate Diaz, as well as his two welterweight championship fights against Kamaru Usman.
Jorge Masvidal has already dabbled in the world of professional wrestling, having played a role at the first AEW Grand Slam event, where he was positioned as the most dangerous asset of the American Top Team.
Masvidal Will Bring Discipline to WWE and AEW
During the interview, Jorge Masvidal claimed that he would be able to provide discipline and direction to the pro wrestlers in either WWE or AEW.
"If they send me on over there Endeavor, AEW, wherever they want to send me to, I'll show these guys some discipline and put them right in line to domesticate them. But they got to pay your boy," he said. Jorge Masvidal's comments are sure to pique the interest of both WWE and AEW, who are always on the lookout for new talent to add to their rosters.
With his reputation as one of the most exciting and dangerous fighters in MMA, Masvidal could bring a unique perspective to the world of professional wrestling. It remains to be seen whether either WWE or AEW will take up Jorge Masvidal's offer, but his willingness to work with either company is certainly intriguing.
As the lines between MMA and professional wrestling continue to blur, we will likely see more crossovers between the two sports in the future.
