Carlito hints at WWE return after Backlash cameo.

Former WWE Superstar, Carlito, made a surprise appearance at WWE Backlash on Saturday night to help the Latino World Order (LWO) fend off an attack from Judgment Day. Though his return seemed like a one-off appearance, "Caribbean Cool" is open to working with the company again.

In an interview with Metro, Carlito shared that he's open to any good offer from anywhere, but if nothing comes up, he'll keep doing what he's been doing. After leaving WWE, he returned to the World Wrestling Council, a Puerto Rican company co-owned by his father, Carlos Colon, and has also worked with AAA and independent promotions in North America.

Before his Backlash appearance, Carlito made a return to WWE for the 2021 men's Royal Rumble match, and also teamed up with Jeff Hardy to face Elias and Jaxson Ryker on "WWE Raw."

Carlito Driven to Keep Wrestling.

Despite being 44 years old, Carlito has no plans to retire anytime soon.

He's driven to prove that he can still keep up with younger wrestlers. "What's driving me at this point? Just trying to keep up with the younger guys, and see if I still can hang. That's all,' he said. 'Until I realize I can't, and then it's time to hang up the boots." Carlito's WWE comeback has sparked interest among fans who want to see more of the former Intercontinental Champion in the ring.

However, whether or not that will happen remains to be seen. The wrestler noted that he doesn't sit by the phone waiting for offers and will continue focusing on his other ventures if nothing comes up. Nonetheless, his willingness to work with WWE again is a good sign that there might be more in store for Carlito's WWE career.

The wrestler's career has been defined by his cocky persona and his signature move, the Backstabber. He was a two-time Intercontinental Champion, a one-time United States Champion, and a one-time Tag Team Champion in WWE. Despite being away from the company for a significant amount of time, Carlito's charisma and wrestling abilities are still evident, making him a popular choice for wrestling fans who would love to see more of him.
