Kimber Lee, the 32-year-old former WWE NXT and Impact Wrestling star, has retired from professional wrestling. Lee had been under contract with Impact Wrestling since August 4, 2020, but her last appearance for the company dates back to November 21, 2021, when she faced Lady Frost in a losing effort.

Although she was removed from the Impact roster in early 2022, Lee recently revealed that she was still "technically" under contract with the company, as she had signed a per-appearance deal and had never been officially released.

Over the past year, Lee continued to work with various independent wrestling promotions but has now decided to step away from the squared circle for good. In a heartfelt Twitter post, Lee opened up about her decision to retire, citing that her heart wasn't in wrestling anymore and that she would no longer take active bookings for the foreseeable future.

Farewell to Wrestling

Lee's statement read: "The goodbye that I thought would never come. The mistress that has overtaken my life for the past 15 years. At times, wrestling was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I have been to places, and I have gotten to see something I never would have dreamed of.

But at the same time, there comes a point in everyone's life where things cannot continue in the same fashion that they have because circumstances and goals evolve and change. I initially thought this would be a break from wrestling.

After some time, I would be ready to put my heart into this again and return better than I have ever been before. But the thing is, the more I think about it, the more I come to realize that my heart is not in this anymore.

Kimber Lee brings me instant heartache and anxiety, not the butterflies and joy that once were. Too many painful wounds come with returning to this world, and I am not willing to give those wounds my power or dominion over my life anymore.

Lee's decision to retire marks the end of a 15-year journey in the professional wrestling world, and her fans and colleagues will indeed support her as she embarks on a new path toward healing and self-discovery.
