Vickie Guerrero was with Chris Van Vliet recently. Chris is a Sports Entertainment reporter. Vickie spoke about Sasha Banks and her involvement in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match. She talked about the women’s evolution and how proud she feels about all the female superstars of the WWE.
She and Sasha Banks met each other around the time of the 2018 Royal Rumble PPV event. Banks talked to Vickie about Eddie Guerrero and the influence the late great superstar had on her. Vickie entered the first ever women’s Royal Rumble as a heel wrestler.
She was quickly eliminated by other participants. Banks was involved in her elimination. "She's incredible," Guerrero said. "I got to finally work with her and sit down and talk to her at last year's Royal Rumble, the first-ever for the women.
She's incredible and such a fantastic person and we had a great time sitting down and talking." Vickie stated that the WWE finally gave women the chance on the biggest stage of them all. This was the first WrestleMania main event that consisted only of women..
"It's empowering to know that women have a chance to prove themselves in the ring and to know that women headlined the main event at WrestleMania," Guerrero said. "I'm proud of them and it's well deserved.
It takes the women from the past to the current roster that have made a place on the road and are able to say it's not just a man's industry, it's the women that can make history as well."
